Tales from the Trails

Tales from the Trails is a time for children's growth, fellowship, and fun during the 10 AM Worship Service. The children join their parents in worship for the announcements and first song. They are then invited on stage for a brief children's time and to assist in collecting the noisy offering (our missions offering). After the noisy offering the children go to the children's ministry area for a time of age specific learning, games, growth and fun! Tales from the Trails is open for children ages 4 - 5th Grade and is led by Sarah, our children's pastor, and by our children's ministry volunteers. For information on our volunteers and our Safe Sanctuary practices, see the section at the bottom of this page.

Special Events

Children's ministry gathers for special events throughout the year. These include pool parties in the summer, Trunk or Treat near Halloween, Christmas party in December, and an Easter Egg Hunt the Sunday before Easter. Stay tuned to the website for our next Children's Ministry adventure!

Nursery

We welcome children of nursery age to accompany their parents into worship. We have a prayerground available in our worship center for children 0 - 3 years old during our 10 AM worship service. It is located in the back left corner when you walk in and is filled with soft toys, books, and coloring pages. Parents are invited to worship with their children in this area. We have an unstaffed nursery room available at all times which has a space for nursing, diaper changing, and a small play area. We are committed to being a safe space for children of all ages and you can find out more about our philosophy of care and Safe Sanctuaries Policy below.

We are committed to providing a safe space where children can grow closer to God.

Our Safe Sanctuaries Policy demonstrates our commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of all of our children, youth, and adult workers. This policy expresses our pledge to conduct the ministry of the gospel in ways that assure the safety and spiritual growth of our children and youth. We have a "two-adult" rule which means that no fewer than 2 adults are present and supervising children and youth during all church-sponsored programs, events, or ministries involving children or youth. We follow reasonable safety measures in the selection and recruitment of workers (including background checks) and educate all of our workers with age appropriate policies, boundaries, and procedures (including first aid and discipline). In all of our ministries with children and youth,we are committed to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ so that each person will be "surrounded by steadfast love..established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal."* For more information about our Safe Sanctuaries Policy and practices contact Pastor Carter and she will be glad to share more!
