"Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
BE CHURCH: Worship through Service
BE CHURCH events are the way we go beyond the walls of the church to engage the community through serve, listening, and building relationships. When we put our faith in action, we are the hands and feet of Christ and we BE the CHURCH in the community.
Some of the ways we BE the CHURCH include: seeing face of Christ in our neighbors, feeding people who are hungry, celebrating with the LGBTQ+ neighbors at PRIDE, equipping the students at the local schools with supplies and haircuts, partnering with Allied Churches of Alamance County to provide food and Christmas celebrations for their residents, serving with Meals on Wheels, stocking food pantries, sending supplies to victims of hurricane Maria, Irma, and Harvey, playing bingo and being present with people in retirement communities, and much more!
New in 2018
In 2018, we will partner with Out of the Garden Project and their fresh mobile market to redistribute food to our neighbors on the 2nd Saturday of each month at Foust Elementary School at 10 AM. Out of the Garden Project works to show tangible signs of love to children and families through providing food. The food distributed through the fresh mobile market is collected from and donated by local restaurants, grocery stores, and community partners. Stay tuned for an online sign-up and come join us one Saturday at 10 AM as we worship through service.
