If you don't know this, Easter Sunday is the high point of the Christian calendar. In fact, it represents everything that defines the Christian faith. We worship a risen Lord! So, if you have never thought of Easter as a pretty important day, I beg you to start today looking at Easter in a whole new way. Everything we do each Sunday points us to Easter. For that reason, I am asking you to make this year "the year" that you pay closer attention to “Holy Week” and the celebration of “Easter.”

Statistically, Easter is the highest attended service in the nation, of all church services throughout the calendar year. This year at FaithWalk we will have two Easter services (9:30AM & 11AM), beginning our continued two-service rotation on this most special day! Below is all the information that covers our Easter season schedule of events, including Holy Week activities. I believe this Easter season is going to be very special for all who attend FaithWalk, and I hope you will be a part of all that God reveals during this special time of the year. Palm/Passion Sunday
(Sunday, March 16th)

Sunday, March 16th is Palm/Passion Sunday (10AM). This will be a special day in worship as we celebrate Jesus' triumphal entrance into Jerusalem during the week of Passover. The children will process into worship during the opening rockin' music, waving the traditional Palm branches, and kicking off a wonderful celebration. As the center of the worship time, our lead pastor, Bill Gibson, will communicate the dramatic Passion story, in a special and creative way that you will not want to miss. You may have never heard the Passion story communicated quite like this. So you will not want to miss it!!!! Bring a friend!!!!

Food, Fun, and Easter Egg Hunt!!!
(Sunday, March 16th)

Join us on Palm/Passion Sunday (March 16th), right after worship, for a covered dish meal followed by an Easter egg hunt for the kids!!!

Maundy Thursday: Multi-Sensory Worship Experience
(Thursday, March 20th)

On Maundy Thursday, March 20th (between 7PM & 9PM), the worship center will be set up for a special multi-sensory worship experience. What is it? Come and find out!!! Stations will be set up in the worship center between 7PM and 9PM for you to drop in and experience this at your own pace. It is a personal and quiet worship experience that will engage all of your senses. If you have never experienced this before, you are in for a awesome experience! And if you have, you are still in for an awesome experience! Ushers and facilitators will provide you with simple instructions at the entrance of the worship center and you can come and experience this for as long as you would like. Each station is a special experience. Mark your calendars and don't miss this!!! Bring a friend!

Good Friday: Special Screening of "The Passion of The Christ"
(Friday, March 21st)

On Good Friday, March 21st at 7PM, we will have a special screening of Mel Gibson's “The Passion of The Christ.” This will include an introduction and a question answer follow up with our lead pastor, Bill Gibson. Everyone and anyone is invited. Please note: This is a powerful movie. It is rated “R” for “sequences of graphic violence,” so parents are cautioned in their decision on whether pre-teens should see this movie. If you have never experienced the movie, this format presents a wonderful opportunity for you, a friend, and family members. So, come out and bring a friend or two.

Easter Sunday: Sunrise Service & Two (2) Easter Services
(Sunday, March 23rd)

Sunrise service (7AM) by the FaithWalk pond, celebrating our risen Lord with the rising of the sun. This will include a light breakfast following the service. Our Easter worship services will begin at 9:30AM and 11AM.

Easter Service Option #1 (9:30AM) will be a condensed version of our regular worship service, formatted for 1 hour. This service will include our normal breakfast/snack and fellowship time, starting at 9AM. This service will also include our Children's worship time, Tales from the Trails.

Easter Service Option #2 (11AM) will be our regular full service and will run from 11AM to approximately 12:20PM. There will be a 30-minute break between services to allow fellowship and smooth exiting and entering in the parking lot. This break time will also be the fellowship/coffee time (no breakfast snacks) prior to the 11AM service. This service will also include our Children's worship time, Tales from the Trails.

NOTE: The times and structures of both our primary worship services are formatted for your benefit. Both will have the same music flavor, and the same message. They are designed with benefits to fit the needs of you and/or your family. So freely choose the service to attend based on your needs. Then, invite a couple of friends!!!! (NOTE: The above time/format of the two worship services will be our model as we begin on Easter Sunday our continued 2-service rotation. God is growing us for a purpose!!!! Helpful Information...

To some, our worship services are "contemporary" and to others they are "alternative." We just want worship to be a safe and comfortable place for everyone to experience God in a real, personal, and corporate way. You will hear inspiring and upbeat music, relevant messages, see the use of multimedia, drama, and dance, and experience the inviting fellowship of Christian community. You can worship in your shorts, jeans, and sandals if you would like. Casual dress is the norm, but if you feel like you must dress up, that's cool too. See you soon!
