FAITHWALK-U — FALL 2009 SCHEDULE IS NOW AVAILABLE! This is the second semester of our exciting new discipleship program, launched for 2009. Each learning cycle will feature 3 to 4 choices of classes you can register for and participate in, which will focus on relevant issues we deal with in our world today. Together we will learn how can the Bible be our guide in everyday life.

"Learning + Loving = Living."

Classes will feature teaching and interactive group time, along with online discussion, registration, and sharing in information. Most classes will include a group assignment that contributes to the ministry of FaithWalk.

Classes for fall 2009:

• DEEP (Scripture, Life, Culture) — Tuesdays (bi-weekly)
  Instructor: Bill Gibson (lead pastor)
  This class will be a continuous, ongoing discussion for those who are tired of treading lightly and ready to start following Jesus. Each bi-weekly session will address a new topic, while also making available time to discuss any hold-over questions from the previous session/discussion. The focus will be to dive deeper into Scripture, and address relevant issues of life today in a shifting culture. Center to this discussion will be and ongoing exercise to discover and identify where Jesus is at work in the world, beginning within our own lives. If you have ever had a desire to go "deeper" than Sunday morning worship and really start to understand what it means to follow Jesus in our lives, this class if for you. (This class will encourage leadership development related to "evangelism" and "life stewardship" in emerging culture)

  CLASS DATES: Tuesdays, bi-weekly.
  NOTE: This class can be joined at ANYTIME. Each session will address a new topic/discussion thread. So, feel free to join in! (class will be ongoing throughout the year, with holidays taken into consideration)

• Revolutionary Parenting (Parenting, Children's Ministry) — Wednesdays (weekly)
  Instructor: Sandy Johnson
  This class is based on the book, "Revolutionary Parenting," by George Barna. As parents our deepest desire is to raise children who succeed in life. This is also our greatest challenge. How can we foster traits such as honesty, compassion and dedication in young minds? How can we raise children who will love and serve God as adults? Whether your a parent of a newborn, a teenager or anywhere in between join the revolution and share a lasting legacy of faith with your children." Join us for an eight week series on how to create a parenting plan for your unique child(ren) Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday, October 14th.

• Growing Up Digital... in Church! (Gospel, Culture, and the Net Generation) — Day and start TBA
  Instructor(s): Brian Ewbank
  Many parents, educators, and employers have quickly realized children and young adults know more about technology than they do. This new group, called the Net Generation, includes anyone born during the Information Age (1980’s to now). Just like employers and schools are being forced to change their methods of reaching this demographic, the church must also change their approach. Come learn more about this generation, how they use technology, and how we may be able to harness it to minister in ways that have never been considered before. Primary reading will come from the book "Grown Up Digital."

• Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (Financial planning and spiritual formation) — Wednesdays
  Instructor(s): Todd and Ginger Webber
  Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace! It is a 13-week course that will change your life!

  CLASS TIME: 6:30PM to 8:30PM
  CLASS DATES: Every Wednesday for 13-weeks, starting September 9th (not meeting on holidays)
