Among other names, we know God as Creator. But do we know God as the Re-Creator? In this midst of life there are often challenges that distract us away from seeing the re-creating that God is doing. Take a look around during this spring season as it slowly transitions into summer. God is always doing something new!
Creativity is an amazing thing. People like Walt Disney challenged the young and old to believe in the impossible, to reach for the pixie dust, and simply to believe! This is easy for a child. So what happen to our imagination? What happen to the dream? To the excitement, and enormous possibilities? Unlike Peter Pan, did we grow up?
Growing up physically and growing up spiritually are two very different things. While Jesus desires us to come unto him as little children, we are to put away selfish (childish) ways and look beyond our self. We are to come to Jesus ready to experience the possibilities we only dream about, and not with a defeated attitude. God has a plan.
How do you fit into this plan? Or better yet, have you leaped into God's plan? Whether you realize it or not, you are supposed to participate in God's plan, not sit on the sidelines and observe, or in the crowd to be entertained. Our ordinary lives are supposed to be a part of God's re-creating activities.
Something new always brings about creative activities, discoveries, and events. In fact, creativity is evidence that we are co-creators with God in ways we can't even imagine. I'm not just talking about painting, drawing, and building, but about the fact that Jesus said we would do greater things than what he did (John 14:12). Now that is big time! The question is... Do you believe?
God desires to do something new in you; always. God is doing something new in the life of FaithWalk. These are exciting times. For some, it might seem as unpredictable and scary times. But, Jesus' followers always felt this way in his presence. Especially when he said, "Don't be afraid... Follow me." And Jesus is alive and he is here.
Are you ready? Willing? Then abandon yourself and leap into God's plan!
NOTE: This new series is one of the most important and impacting times we will spend together as a community of faith. If you are interested in being a part of the re-creativity team of FaithWalk, then you do NOT want to miss being a part of God's something new. Don't miss a single moment!
There will be the first "Re-Creativity Team" meeting on Sunday evening, May 20th @ 6PM. This will be an unfolding interactive visioning session for the re-created FaithWalk. New ministries, new possibilities, new ways, new leaders and participants, new accountability. And finally, a new commitment. Are you in? Then don't miss this meeting!
Join me in this new series and come with an open, ready heart!
