FaithWalk is a young church plant located in the Gibsonville and Whitsett communities of North Carolina, just off of Highway 70 and only a couple of miles west of Burlington. We strive to not only communicate the Gospel message in a way that engages our emerging culture, but we also desire to live out the Gospel in our daily lives. To some, our worship services are "contemporary" and to others they are "alternative." We just want worship to be a safe and comfortable place for everyone to experience God in a real, personal, and corporate way. You will hear inspiring and upbeat music, relevant messages, see the use of multimedia, drama, and dance, and experience the inviting fellowship of Christian community. You can worship in your shorts, jeans, and sandals if you would like. Casual dress is the norm, but if you feel like you must dress up, that's cool too.
Like many of you, we still haven't figured out Jesus, but we are seeking together, on an amazing journey that reveals more each day. We invite you to come walk with us as we continue to take bold steps of faith. God is truly on the move in this NEW community of faith. We would love to have you become a part of FaithWalk! God continues to work in incredible ways to remind us of His power and presence in the world, and particularly in the life of FaithWalk. On September 16, 2007, following the appointment of Bill Gibson as the new lead pastor, FaithWalk officially re-launched under a new vision that encompasses several new ministries and new operational strategies. The new vision for this community of faith is one that can be communicated in the following four words: Safe space. Your pace.™ The expanded vision statement for FaithWalk is as follows:
God is at work each day and continues to recreate the face of ministry for FaithWalk within our growing community. Truly, these are exciting times, and we invite you to come see for yourself! Bill Gibson is our lead pastor and he was appointed to FaithWalk on July 1, 2007 by the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. FaithWalk meets on Sunday mornings for worship at 9:30 & 11AM (with fellowship and coffee time starting at 9:00AM),
and is located at 485 Brightwood Church Road, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
